Happy 2019 and New Quickstart ready!

 Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday season, and I wish you all the best for this brand new year. I wouldn't say that publishing Nahual is my 2019 resolution, because it is a compromise instead, so that is happening no matter what! Instead I wanna share with you some other stuff that I consider propósitos de año nuevo. But first things first...

Backerkit on the Working

First of all, an appology about not having the Backerkit set up yet, the holiday season got in the way, and Backerkit staff actually took some time off. We've already configured some things, but there's a lot of tools to learn and manage (it is actually a great toolset, super complete!). So we rather take our time and do things right, and will let you know as soon as it's ready. In the meantime I've been playtesting and gathering some feedback to prepare the next itteration of the Quickstart, which is ready by the way!

New Quickstart Ready

A version 2.0 of the Quickstart is ready for you backers to download. The same link is still the one to go, so head back to the very first update titled Nahuales are Unleashed! and use that same link.

For Spanish speakers: I had to pospone the Spanish version, precisely because of the changes that were to be included in the v2.0. I'm working on finishing the Spanish Quickstart and I'll let you once it's ready ot download.

Nahual AP in Spanish

Many of the work I did on the Quickstart came from playing the game online with Warius, Kosmo, Mike and CyMorgan. This small series of Nahual was a blast, for those of you who understand Spanish go check it out, and also check Warius' Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/elwarius) he has some awesome D&D AP in Spanish too.

New Things to Come!

 One of the so called resolutions for this year is setting up my publishing company: Smoking Mirror Games. With Nahual as one of the first line of products of course, but also with some other things, other personal projects and some licensing for translating RPGs into Spanish.

One of the first things I'm doing is a Discord server. Now that G+ is doomed to irse a la chingada, I want a place where I can keep people up to date on my projects as well as answer questions and in general create a community. I will also be setting up the website for Smoking Mirror Games and sharing it as soon as it is ready. And there's much more things I wanna do. But I'll talk about those in due time, porque luego se ceban!

 Wow! That was some epic ending... you push it thru 'til the last minute to get the final stretch goal unlocked. I was at the edge of my seat! (just look at this Twitter thread: https://twitter.com/nahualrpg/status/1064213921920311296)

Things were so much at the last minute that I didn't manage to update the last stretch goal image as unlocked. But here it is, look at all the stuff you made possible!

Next steps are to prepare the survey for you all to tell us what language version you want (for printed books that is) so we can start planning the budgets for printing. Then we'll also start to work on a timeline so you can be informed of how all the production of all this stuff you helped unlock is going to be. We'll be constantly in touch, that is for sure.

Again, a million thanks for all your support, for blowing this over 2000% of what we needed.  And for making that crazy push at the very last minute. No manchen, se rifaron!

Roll20 Skins Unlocked and NEW Final Stretch Goal!

A la madre! This has been an amazing experience so far. Another Stretch Goal reached. Thank you all for blowing this out of the park. The final hours are ahead, so let's see if we can make the last Stretch Goal happen! But whatever happens I'll be forever grateful for all your support. Un millón de gracias! 

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Roll20 Skins

I'm very excited about this one. As we said, online play is changing our hobby forever. And the possibility of giving players the best tools to have an awesome experience makes me so happy. This means, I hope, more people will be eager to dive into Nahual with their online groups.

 New Stretch Goal: Bestiary! ($65,000)

There is much of Clement's world that I had to leave out of the game. Fortunately, the stretch goals have allowed me to bring so much of it into the game as supplemental material. And for the new and final—I think—stretch goal, I'm including a Bestiary of angels, demons, and other supernatural things, to spice up your game and threaten your players' nahuales!

Hola! I'm back from my trip to Metatopia, finally catching up with work stuff and messages here on KS. As I mentioned in the previous update, Metatopia was a blast! It was incredible to meet many people there that were telling me "Oh! You're Miguel from Nahual. I've already backed you on KS". It felt amazing. Thank you to all of you lovely backers for making this dream come true. Now, let's get back to it!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Axolotl!

This goal has been unlocked for a while now, but hey I was traveling, so here is the official announcement. We have our 11th playbook unlocked, and I know some of you are very excited for it! Thank you for making it happen.

New Stretch Goal: Roll20 Skins and Sheets ($55,000)

We've unlocked some amazing stuff already, so it's time to take it a bit slower. I don't want to burn myself with more and more stuff that will then crush me and make it hard to deliver! Nevertheless we are planning to have some cool things for the final countdown of the campaign. The first one is skins and layout for the Roll20 virtual tabletop:

Talking about Nahual on the Full Metal RPG podcast

I got an invitation from Brendan Carrion to talk about Nahual on his podcast, Full Metal RPG. It was great talking to him about the game's origins and ideas. I'm grateful to Brendan for having me on the show!

Close to the end-line!

Nahual 2049 Unlocked and Metatopia!

Hola a todos! This is a superquick update from Morristown, NJ! I'm currently at the Metatopia convention for game designers, this is my second time here and it's been a super awesome experience! I'm crazy busy with the con, but since we did unlocked an stretch goal I'm checking in for a quick update!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Nahual 2049!

Thanks! Nahual 2049 is happening! Many of you are super excited for this stretch goal. Me too. I think is gonna be super fun working in it. Lo fa, ne-ko shi-ma, de va-ja Nahual.

 Nahual at Metatopia!

It's been wonderful meeting so many backers at Metatopia. You have made this year's experience so amazing!

Mark Díaz Truman has helped me run 2 sessions of Nahual, to see how the game functions without me as MC. Feedback has been very good. Big thanks to all the playtesters!

One day left and one final playtest left at Metatopia. Tomorrow I will be running it myself.
